Finding a good builder is difficult and always involves a level of trust in that you are giving someone you don’t really know a big chunk of money and trusting that they will complete the work, quickly, safety and to your standards. Tommy was in charge of an extension and renovation project in our house. It did not sound a lot but in essence the back of our house was being removed, lots of internal walls down, opened up and extended. Heavy building work is never clean and tidy there is always lot and lots of rubble and dust. But Tommy and his team where fantastic. It is actually quite fascinating to see trained builders do their job, almost like a team of ants they can systematically remove walls and rubble. They where reliable and honestly went the extra mile to make sure that my husband and I where happy. Turning up when expected on time and ready to work. The job started on the agreed date and finished just 3 days after the original end date and that was only because the weather had meant that building the foundations was delayed a couple of days. This was important as working hard for a living and not having an endless budget we had decided to live in the property while the work was completed.
Being pedantic about the finish we where never going to be the easiest job but Tommy exceeded what we had thought possible. It was an old house and the plastering was matched perfectly so there was no difference with the new extension and the old section of the house. We loved the new open plan living, it ticked all the box’s but less than 3 months after we had finished the project an opportunity to good to miss came along to move. In October our house sold within 24 hours. While I would not want to give all the credit to Tommy and his team the estate agent described the family room, open plan dining room and kitchen as outstanding and finished to show house levels and it was simply outstanding. The Estate Agent said it turned a standard house in a nice road to an amazing, spectacular “one off “house in a nice road. The good news is that we have now moved into a big old Victorian house and we have big plans. Almost same again but with a few extra bits. Sorry, Tommy but wait until you see what we have got planned for this one!
Would I use Tommy again? Yes in a heart beat and we will.
Would I recommend him? Yes absolutely, for good value for money attention to detail and exceptional finish.
What make Tommy different? He turns up on time, does what he says he will, on budget and on time and puts himself out to make you that you are 110% happy with the work.

Tommy built our extension and refurbished another property for us, he is very professional and managed both projects from initial stages through to completion whilst completing both projects on time and to budget , his attention to detail is first class.

I’d like to recommend this company – I’ve had the pleasure of their work. A small extension expanded to more work taking 6 months! I kept adding to the original request. The pricing was extremely competitive. I even went on holiday and upon my return the house was cleaner than when I’d gone away! The team are very professional but still very friendly. Extremely tidy both in the home and outside. Thoroughly recommended.
